The training I have received from Holly over the last 5 months for road/circuit racing has been invaluable to me.

Holly has helped boost both my confidence and my fitness dramatically.

I have been able to find the balance between training enough, and not over training (and then getting ill) which was a real issue for me. I receive regular (almost daily) contact from Holly, on my sessions, plans and how I am feeling. She is extremely professional, and I feel I can contact Holly with any issues or concerns and she will have the answer.

I thoroughly enjoy the sessions that are set, which are both challenging and rewarding and targeted towards my coming events. Holly has been supportive and positive throughout all aspects of my racing and training this year and is truly interested in helping me achieve my goals. I have moved from Cat 4 to Cat 2 in one season!

She made me feel at ease and I have learnt so much in such a short space of time.

I started road biking 28th February 2015 and attended my first 700 cycling club group ride just 3 months later on 23rd May. I soon realised my bike handling skills were somewhat lacking and the club recommended I attended a 1-2-1 session with the Club Coach - Holly.

After completing a medical form and a form identifying my needs, concerns and expectations, I attended my 2 hour session with Holly.

Holly is extremely professional and knowledgeable as well as friendly and encouraging. I left the session feeling elated, so much more confident and ready to take on my Help for Hero's 100 mile challenge.

The session was personally tailored for my needs and followed up with an email summarising the key points. I would not hesitate to recommend Holly's services and have done so on numerous occasions over the past 12 months and will continue to do so.

Holly Seear is the motivating force behind our team’s cycling adventures.

Over the years she has encouraged us to enter for races that we might not have considered, then helped us to realise that, not only can we finish them, but finish them well and even make the podium!

During races and training Holly is positive and supportive, getting the best out of us, whilst always having fun. Holly is the most organised person I know, maximising available time to fit in appropriate and effective training. She has always covered every eventuality and is prepared for anything.

Without Holly’s continued support and encouragement I wouldn’t be as fit and healthy as I am today. I always look forward to our training sessions together.

My ultimate goal was to get into racing and Holly gave me the confidence and guidance to get started!
Holly gave me the right training to take my cycling to the next level in particularly fitting it around my busy work schedule.

Holly’s communication is first class and she gives constructive feedback for every session.
I have been with Holly for 6 months now and found her sessions tough, varied and now most importantly giving improved results. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking to improve your times for cross country mountain biking.

I can't recommend Holly highly enough!
I approached Holly to help provide training for the Etape. She listened carefully to what I needed and then tailored a coaching plan that fitted into my daily routine, but still challenged me (a lot). She was always available to discuss any issues, encouraging during injury setbacks and gave me the belief that I could finish the Etape in one piece. I did it and couldn't have done it without her.

My experience has been brilliant and I'd definitely recommend Holly to anyone!
I signed up to do a Camberley to Paris bike ride with my work colleagues, but had little cycling experience.  I also didn't really know where to start in terms of my preparation for the Paris bike ride so I decided to work with a cycling coach to help boost my confidence and get a structured training programme in place.  I researched coaches in my area on the British Cycling website, found Holly and haven't looked back since.  I started with a 1-2-1 session with her and then followed a tailored 16-week programme.  She's boosted my confidence, been incredibly supportive and patient with me, set a programme that challenged me, but made sure I was fully prepared and I've loved it.

I've joined a cycling club as a result of my experience, am now cycling regularly, made the dreaded switch to pedals and cleats, none of which would have happened without working with Holly.  I'm already embarking on my next challenge for this year and I asked Holly to set me up with a training programme for that too.

Holly has been coaching me for the last two years and, to be frank, she's great.

After racing in triathlons for several years, I wanted a change and so decided to have a go at the Etape (a mountainous stage of the Tour de France which the public get to ride each year a few days ahead of the pros). In spite of all my years in triathlon, the Etape was a daunting challenge and what I needed was encouragement and help with putting together a plan for how I was going to get to the startline and then give the ride my best shot.

The first time I met Holly she spent time talking through what I wanted to achieve, what I was able to do at that point and how much time I had for training. She then went away to put together a training programme for me. When I first saw it I was amazed at the detail and how carefully thought through it was. All I had to do was follow it! So that's exactly what I did.

Six months later I was there on the startline by the crystal clear waters of Annecy waiting to start the Etape alongside 12,000 other riders. It was the toughest bike ride I had ever done and as one of the few women amongst so very many men it felt even more daunting, but I did it. Thousands didn't make it to the finish line that day, but I did. And I can't thank Holly enough for getting me there.

Holly Seear has such passion and enthusiasm for the sport.

I initially started out doing the level 3 Bikeability course with Holly and found her advice on road cycling in traffic invaluable.

She has a way of imparting information and advice in small ‘packages’ which makes it easy to take in...and remember!

Holly’s style of coaching is very supportive and non-judgmental.  However, she manages to push you hard at the same time and, it's always done with a smile."

Holly created my excellent training programme to support me in getting ready for the Tour De Force Cycling Event in the Alps.

Holly got to know me and my goals, what I liked and didn't like first, before creating my programme. The programme was written to fit into my home and worklife schedule and was fantastic from beginning to end. I met Holly 5 times during the course of my training to pass on her advice and knowledge and adjust my programme.

Without doubt, if Holly wasn't on-board last year I wouldn't have achieved what I did. I'm now getting ready for the Haute Route Alps and guess what - I'll be using Holly again!

Thanks Holly

Holly’s expert cycle coaching has enabled me to confidently ride in any level of traffic.

She has demonstrated the importance of proactive riding and has taught me how to safely dominate my road space whilst still showing consideration to other road users.

I have gone from being a ‘kerb hugging cyclist’ to a confident road cyclist, and this has really enhanced my riding experience.

Ruth, Road Cyclist, Windsor

Holly has great people skills and she immediately made us all feel extremely calm and confident.
Holly was exceptionally professional in both her individual coaching session with me and in our group session with our club's young triathletes. Holly developed both sessions carefully to meet precisely what we were hoping for and the progress our team and I made during the sessions was really remarkable.

Holly is clearly extremely knowledgeable and uses this to fantastic effect when she coaches to provide brilliant advice and activities to put her advice into practice.

Katy, Wellington College Triathlon Club

Holly has a fantastic ability to adapt her coaching skills to all cyclists regardless of personal ability.

She has used my individual goals to create a rigorous training program while continuing to encourage and motivate me with her positive words and dedication to the training plan. I have had a fantastic year with her so far and can't wait to achieve more!

Heather, Time Triallist, Twickenham

Highly recommended!

My husband and I asked Holly for a cycle training programme for the Tour of Wessex. We also had some excellent gym sessions to compliment it. The TOW was an extremely tough challenge and didn't entirely go to plan, but I went into it in the best possible shape thanks to Holly.

I would not hesitate to recommend her services and will be back for more!

Lisa, Road Cyclist, Wraysbury

Holly has been an inspirational coach to help me prepare for my Lands End to John O’Groats challenge this summer.

Holly has very effectively achieved the right balance between support and challenge, combined with great confidence building, rapport and trust to ensure that I have attained, and, in fact, exceeded my target cycling development goals, e.g. riding “clipless” in proper cycling shoes; effective climbing and descent training, etc.

I warmly recommend her as a first class cycling coach.

Jo, Road Cyclist, London

Holly seems to know when I need support and when I need challenge, getting the balance just right.

She puts care and effort into devising my training plans, making sure that I have all the resources I need to be successful.  She recognises my specific physical limitations and offers practical workarounds. She is my best supporter and I always look forward to our sessions.

Pippa, Time Triallist, Old Windsor

I increased my average speed 20% in only 2 sessions. Holly is a goddess!

Tom, Cyclist, London

Holly is such an inspiring and fun person and she managed to make me do things I thought I was incapable of doing just by believing in me and being so much fun!
After having signed up for the London to Paris ride, I knew I had to train beyond the laps of Regents Park that I was used to doing. I knew I had to focus on getting better at climbs and also do long distances of about 90 miles a day.

Holly created a wonderful training plan that helped me to increase the distance week by week. Holly gave me invaluable tips on technique and even posture on how to tackle the hills and also how best to come down them!

She also showed me the proper etiquette on how to ride in amongst a peloton, how to coast or ride behind the wheel of a cyclist in order to get the benefit of avoiding the headwind and thus making the ride easier especially during a long ride where fatigue kicks in.

We practised how to change the tube in case of a puncture, made me a list of the essential tools I should have on me and also made me practise how to drink whilst cycling and not having to stop or slow down - all of which proved invaluable during the ride itself.

I think I would have really struggled without Holly's well thought out and inspired training plan, tips and techniques.

Thanks Holly, I am so tempted to start mountain biking now and you will probably see me back soon with my new bike!

Mouli, Road Cyclist, London

Having decided to tackle the Etape Du Tour, I enlisted Holly's help as a seasoned sportive/cycling challenge pro to help me build a fitness, diet, training plan to ensure I could take on the challenge, and win in my mind at least!

We met, discussed the target, the options for training and any initial skill gaps I felt I had with the event in mind. Holly, within 3 days had built a plan, defined goals and booked in to the diary sessions in the gym to build core fitness and outside on and off the bike in order to tackle my downhill cornering at speed fears!

The result - I beat the sweep bus on the day in the Alps.  Continuous updates and support outside of the one to one, face to face sessions was great, giving advice, suggesting warm up rides and recommending tweaks to the plan was fantastic - Thank you!!

James, Road Cyclist, Copenhagen

I've always hated running, but love off-road/adventure racing, and unfortunately for me running is a big part of it. Now I've completed three half-marathons, more than a few five hour plus off-road races, mountain bike races and two Rat Race Adventure Races.

I've been training with Holly for over four years now and despite/because of how much she pushes me, nearly every session's been a real pleasure! Holly knows her stuff, keeps routines varied, never fails to be enthused and presents me with new outdoor challenges regularly.

Holly is excellent in setting goals and taking me through a progressive series of routines that have resulted in an excellent final set of results. Holly is extremely personable, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. She makes sure I don't feel patronised, yet similarly in the gym environment I felt informed rather than intimidated.

I love being fit and healthy and happy. It's worth the effort!!

Rachel, Adventure Racer, Road Cyclist and Mountain Biker, Windsor

Holly had an immediate impact on the group of cadets, engaging them all with the Cycling Skills Course despite a range of ages and experience.

The cadets found the sessions fun, based on the constant challenge, logical sequence of progression and visible improvement in their cycling skills.

Holly’s feedback was always constructive and she quickly got to know the individuals in the group to adapt her style to their needs.

Thanks Holly for a great course, which takes them a section closer to achieving their Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards!
