I am a passionate coach keen to drive, inspire, motivate and support others in achieving their goals. I hold the top British Cycling qualification of Level 3 Coach as well as being a Personal Trainer, Mountain Bike Leader, National Standards Bikeability Instructor, Leader in Running Fitness, Nordic Walking Instructor and holding numerous other sports qualifications. I am Head Coach for my local cycling club and am currently working with riders of all abilities from new cyclists to international racers.
As an athlete I have competed in Road Races, Time Trials, Track, BMX, Sportives, Mountain Biking XC and Enduros racing regionally, nationally and internationally. I have raced at Cat 2 level in the UK on the road and finished 3rd overall in the Southern XC MTB series.
My recent years have been filled with incredible events such as The Etape, Tour of Flanders, Tour of Wessex, Coast to Coast, The Fred Whitton, The Morzine Haut-Chablais, Penzance to London, Transalp 7 day mountain bike stage race across the Alps (which I have completed three times) and far too many other events to mention!
As well as cycling I have done numerous Triathlons, Duathlons, Adventure Races, Marathons and Ultra Marathons and recently became one of the first ever finishers of the Fitbit Fifty, a challenge to run and cycle from London to Edinburgh and back (short film here).
I am always up for the next adventure; I love the planning and logistics and often take on short solo adventures. As a mum and full time coach my adventures tend to be multi day as opposed to weeks, but each one challenges me, excites me and takes me to new places!
Professionally, in addition to my cycling coaching, I have been lucky to be involved in all sorts of endurance sports and adventures. I trained an all female team for a 100km ski trek in the Arctic Circle, managed a behavioural change programme project which inspired 30,000 new riders across the UK to cycle and have worked with corporate teams to prepare them for Adventure Races and Challenges.
With a passion for getting more women on their bikes and involved in cycling I am a Strongher Ambassador, a Breeze Champion and work as a mentor with British Cycling's Ignite Your Coaching Programme supporting new female cycling coaches.
I am keen to spread the word and encourage people of all abilities to challenge themselves and as such I write articles and blogs for online content and magazines recently including Cycling Plus, Bike Radar, Cycling Weekly, OK!, Top Sante, Casquette, Healthy Magazine, Vitality and Cycling Shorts.
